About Us
Keep Carrollton Beautiful is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating community in Carrollton. We are an award winning Keep Texas Beautiful Affiliate and part of the Keep America Beautiful program.
Keep Carrollton Beautiful was founded by a third generation Carrolltonite, Sharon Gammon Goddard, in January 2004 as an educational and charitable organization. Sharon is our executive director. We are applying the principles of Keep America Beautiful to educate by changing attitudes about litter and the cost of litter; to reduce litter and solid waste by educating about the impact of solid waste on the community; to beautify by sustaining the community improvement and development;and to create community by including all citizens in our participation.
It is our intention to:
- unify the community
- save money on the City's expenditure for litter cleanup
- channel money into Carrollton's community improvement

Their commitment:
- Members in good standing of Keep Carrollton Beautiful
- Attendance at all regularly scheduled BOD meetings on the third Wednesday evening of each month
- Commitment of 4 to 10 hours a month including BOD meetings and depending on scheduled events
- Attendance at Keep Texas Beautiful Basic Training within the first year of service
- Positive community representation in business and personal associations
- Servant leadership activities toward the sustainability and growth of Keep Carrollton Beautiful
- Planning and participation in at least one large event per year of service
